How Much Will It Cost to Defend My Case?
“Equal Justice Under Law.” Those are the words chiseled onto the front of the U.S. Supreme Court building. They mean that everyone in our country is entitled to be treated fairly and equally when appearing before a court, especially when facing criminal charges that could result in the loss of their freedom and their future.
Those words do not say “Equal Justice, But Only If You Have Lots of Money.”
Equal justice means that if you are arrested and charged with a crime, no matter what your income is or isn’t, you should have access to experienced, aggressive criminal defense representation that can protect your rights from police and prosecutors who are eager to convict you.
I started practicing criminal defense law in South Florida almost three decades ago because I passionately believe that everyone facing criminal charges needs and deserves the best possible defense. I don’t want to see anyone go through the trauma and confusion of an arrest or incarceration by themselves simply because they are worried that reaching out to a lawyer will cost them money. That is why I offer free, confidential initial consultations. If you find yourself facing criminal charges, it will cost you nothing to call me to discuss your case and explore your options.
If you give me the honor of allowing me to defend you, I will work with you to arrange for a fee structure and payment plan that works for you. I have represented over 8,000 clients in my career, and many of those folks were of limited means. We found a way to ensure that they received the excellent representation and personal attention they deserved.
Every criminal case is different. Some involve simple facts and few witnesses, while others may involve lengthy investigations, complex circumstances and evidence, and scores of witnesses and experts. Some cases get resolved through plea bargains or pretrial dismissals, others may go all the way through trial. That is why it is difficult to say in advance how much it will cost to defend your particular case. But if you call me to discuss your situation at no cost to you, we can learn more about your situation and get a better sense of how we can help you during this difficult time without causing you economic hardship. If you or a loved one has been charged with a crime in South Florida, I invite you to reach out to us.
